(hometown: Ontario) In the late 1980’s, John Massingberd co-established, with Bruce Mehlenbacher, PromarkMotorsports International and Raceline Motorsport Television, two Canadian media ventures.
John went on to co-found and co-anchor Raceline Radio in 1993. He became the executive producer of Canada’s first nationally syndicated motorsport radio program, the RacelineRadio Network; to this day, it remains the only show of its kind in Canada. John co-produced and was the featured anchor and moderator on Snow Trax Television, a syndicated snowmobile program viewed throughout North America.
In December of 2008, after a long and courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS), John left the world that he loved at age 54. His perceptions on the sport, his knowledge, and his professionalism will be missed, as will his unique vision, business acumen, and strong sense of dedication.
