Louis Gill

From the age of five, Louis Gill was introduced to drag racing by his uncle, Yves Périgny, sparking a lasting passion. As a teenager, he accompanied Yves and Roger Lafontaine to races across Canada and the United States, honing his mechanical skills. In 2010, Louis made his debut as a driver in the NHRA National Open series in Napierville, reaching the finals. He claimed his first wins in 2015 and 2016, then set a national record in 2018 in Super Stock GT F Automatic. His 2021 season was exceptional, with four victories and a NHRA National Open PC Richards championship title. In 2022, he achieved his first U.S. victory, and in 2024, he added two more wins and a John Scotti Canadian Championship title. In 2023, he celebrated 50 years of racing with his partners, highlighting his commitment to the sport and establishing him as a candidate for the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame.
