To nominate a candidate for Induction to the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame, please fill out the form below. Please ensure all achievements are documented in the application form. Failing to do so will result in the nomination not being considered.
Nominees eligible for induction into the Canadian Drag Racing Hall Of Fame must meet specific criteria. They must either reside in Canada or be expatriates. In addition, nominees must have actively engaged in drag racing professionally for a period exceeding 25 years. Their achievements must include either winning a National Event, setting a National Record, or securing a World Championship title in their respective category, as recognized by NHRA, IHRA, AHRA, or PDRA.
Furthermore, nominees must have made a significant and enduring contribution to the sport, both within Canada and on the international stage. This inclusive list of potential inductees encompasses a wide range of roles, such as racers, mechanics, crew chiefs, engine builders, chassis builders, promoters, track announcers, officials, photographers, journalists, and sponsors.
The Canadian Drag Racing Hall Of Fame will induct a maximum of 20 nominees annually. Nominees may be either living or deceased, as their contributions to the sport are commemorated.
The nomination process is ongoing throughout the year, with submissions accepted until May 31st of the current year. These nominations are then meticulously reviewed by our selection committee, and the final inductees for the current year are determined through a voting process conducted in June of the same year.
Your participation in this process is essential in honouring those who have left an indelible mark on the world of drag racing. We encourage you to submit your nominations and be part of celebrating the legends of the sport.
Nominations of candidates who are not inducted during the current year will remain in our database and be reconsidered continuously through subsequent years, assuring that their nomination is not lost.
